The Cabin In The Woods

One of the a many distributors I have chose in Lark films.

Other films distributed:

- Happiness. The age of the film is not specified but if I had to make a judgement I would make it a 12+ aimed more towards women as it's like a physiological effect on the man with some romance to it.

- Demolition. Rated R for uses of drugs and sexual references. It has the death of his wife which could leave a traumatic feeling on him making him think the worst of things.

- The beauty inside. The age rating is not specified but I would make it a PG to a 12 at most because it's a romance of a man who changes body every day making it nothing other than a romance. It's more pointed towards a female audience and trying to get the message out that love has no gender, age, looks or shape, anyone can fall in love just as long as you both feel the same way.

- Infection. No age mentioned but i would make it a 12+ because the main character has an infection that is causing all sorts of damage to his body leaving him traumatized and has some scenes of blood, this is aimed toward the male audience.

Lark is another not well known film company who work behind the scenes. They might be interested in helping a low budget film because they have made other low budget films as well such as infection. My film is not one that they have made or tried to so I think since they have made all kinds of films this would be a new opening for them.

Alliance Films

Other films distributed:

- Dark skies. Rated PG-13 for violence, terror throughout, sexual material, drug content and language.

- House at the end of the street. Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and terror, thematic elements, language, some teen partying and brief drug material.

- Sinister. Rated R for disturbing violent images and some terror.

- The woman in black. Rated PG-13 for thematic material and violence/disturbing images.

The company was not overly well known as it's title was never shown during film productions. It is defunct meaning that is is not longer in business since 2013. Over all they have a revue of $250 million making them quite successful, in term of production they had nothing really stopping them.
They are their own separate company not owned by anyone however they did buy a smaller company from lions gate called 'Maple Pictures'.

I think they would be interested in making my film as it has a lot to offer in terms of originality but since they have helped make a lot of different types of films mostly 12 and older I think it would be a good opportunity for them. Someone like Warner bros. wouldn't likely want to produce a low budget film so we have to keep it realistic.

In each of the openings it start with showing the company name(s) first Then moves on to the producer of the film. They then show the title of the film quite early on about 4-5 titles into the film opening. The co producers, editors and others are shown after that and depending how big the film is can depend on the length of the opening title screen.

Prelim task

During the production of the prelim there was something that I would of like to change and that was the audio because when people were talking they were really quiet making it hard to understand them however, what I could do is up the audio in premier pro. I would also try to get the actors to have a little more emotion behind their voice as it sounded quite bland and boring not really making it seem appealing. The camera angles were good but they could have been one more that could have gotten both of them while they were talking just to get a better perspective of them.
