Textual analysis 3

Victor Frankenstein:
The film starts with narration/exposition from one of the main characters to help give a shorter version of who Victor is. The loud thunder and the sinister looking castle gives the feel of abandonment but the rain also give a more ominous feel to the situation. As the narration progresses it starts to draw the audience in by making you feel sorry for the hunch back he starts to show what his life is like in a circus at the same time it also help to determine who the villain's are. The sound of the classic theme song from every circus helps to emphasis that they are performing and the people laughing at the hunch backs misfortune show how people were back then as they think that hurting people is humorous. When he say that 'I always have something to look up to' and the woman appears, it resembles a guardian angle always flying above him. The gentle whispering along side the music show that he is clam around her which tell the audience that he might like/love her. At the same time you can see that not only is he admiring her but he is also interested in something else because some else appears on the screen that show his fascination of the human body which indicates that he wants something more than something for people to laugh at, something that will change his life for the better. The man who starts to insult the hunch show that he himself is someone who didn't get a chance to go to school and get a proper education and never really looks after himself meaning that he wants to put all his frustrations onto someone else which shows the audience why again he is poorly mistreated.
